This is the top selling student/intermediate Tenor Saxophone in the world. Made to the highest standards the Yamaha YTS-280S still outperforms everything around it. The design of the crook is based on the Professional 62 model to give a flexible, responsive tone. This is the silver plated model which looks fantastic on Tenor Sax. Some argue the plating makes a minor change to the tone (more overtones) but it's a very subtle change if any.

New beginners will find this sax easy to play and produce a secure tone on, advancing players will enjoy the quality tone and positive action. Saxophonists who wish to take up the tenor saxophone will find that this is the easiest model to learn on. The YTS-280 has many of the features of the YAS-280 including the benefit of being extremely lightweight. To help you get started on the right note we professionally set-up each YTS280 in our Workshops to our Platinum standard ensuring perfect blowing and action.
