Product Information
The Yamaha YSL-620 is a large bore Bb/F Trombone along the lines of the Conn 88H and Bach 42B. However, the Yamaha is arguably far more consistent in terms of quality of engineering and consequently in the quality of tonal production.
The YSL-620 has a 13.89mm (.547”) large bore and a 21.59cm (8.5”)yellow brass bell. The yellow brass ensures the instrument has enough ping and projection and the large bore allows for a broad dynamic and depth of tone. This is a classic Bb/F spec and is ideal for orchestral and band playing.
The outer slide is brass with nickel silver inners. This allows the slide to be light and positive in its action and like all Yamaha Trombones the slide on this instrument is impeccable. In fact the overall condition of this 620 is very good with only very light signs of use. The instrument has clearly been well maintained and cared for and it feels and looks great.
This would be an ideal Trombone for any upgrading player wanting a large bore Bb/F in the Conn 88H style but with a good saving of hundreds of pounds off the new equivalent prices. Supplied in hard case with Yamaha 48L mouthpiece.
