Product Information

This Yamaha YFG-8310Z is part of the Yamaha professional series of Flugel Horns and is the worthy successor to the previous YFH-6310Z model.

The YFH-8310Z has a few distinguishing features from its predecessor, most notably the Malone leadpipe. Designed by the great Bob Malone this new 8310Z leadpipe has both a new connection brace and a stepped external design. This lighter weight leadpipe suits the 8310Z which is designed to be very immediate and responsive.

The valve cap design is taken from the YTR-8310Z range and Yamaha claim that in testing these caps improved the tone and valve action. The YFH8310Z also features a more ergonomically designed trigger arm, this type of feature is always subtle but much appreciated. Yamaha are usually the Kings of comfort and playability.
