Product Information

This Yamaha YCL-631II Alto Clarinet is made of high quality select Grenadilla wood, and is characterised by superb playability and a tone which is warm and full with powerful projection. This model features a rich tone that is enhanced by the choice of leather pads. These pads afford a smooth transition between registers and offer just the right level of resistance vs tonal projection. 

As ever with Yamaha the manufacturing is second to none and the instrument has an even intonation scale and is built to last. The instrument comes with a peg which sits at an angle to make it easier to support the clarinet with the peg and right hand thumb (ie. no sling).

The bell and neck are crafted using advanced metal forming technology developed over many years of Yamaha brass instrument production. This material helps the Alto Clarinet feel more resonant and responsive across the range. The positioning of the register key high tone hole has been modified to improve high register accuracy.
