Ishimori the Japanese company who produces Wood Stone instruments have collaborated with Yamaha to produce this remarkable YAS-82ZWS Custom saxophone. The Wood Stone YAS-82ZWS Alto Saxophones are the result of years of technical expertise and know-how from the wonderful technicians at Ishimori and Yamaha, Japan.

This Alto Saxophone also comes with two necks, the E1WS neck is the improved version of the Yamaha E1 neck, this neck is much better than the original in high register, intonation has also improved whilst giving a soft but clear sound. The other neck is an original Wood Stone and the sound is very rich but controllable.

They have used two braces between the bell and body, this improves the vibration of the saxophone and gives a quick response and gives a more resonant sound. The sax has been given Wood Stone's left hand thumb rest which is hard rubber and also helps with response and the right hand gets the Wood Stone metal thumb hook.

The Wood Stone solid silver neck joint screw makes your sound softer and richer and high notes can become more powerful. The lacquer itself is thin and hard to bring the optimum resonance from the tube. The outfit is supplied in a deluxe Yamaha Custom hard case and is fully checked and set-up by the Dawkes Sax technicians in our workshop.
