The latest Wood Stone Alto Saxophone ligature from Ishimori of Tokyo, Japan. This range of ligatures have been very popular for a number of years and we're delighted to be stocking this new Classic ligature. The ligature features a single screw mechanism with plate underneath. This ensures the reed is balanced and held evenly on the facing of the mouthpiece. This is the #1 model which is designed to fit: Meyer/Link/Wood Stone/Vandoren V16/D'Addario Select Jazz/Lakey mouthpieces.

We find this #1 Classic ligature is easy to use, sits securely on the mouthpiece and offers a solid yet flexible tonal response. As ever with the Wood Stone equipment it is extremely well made and the mechanism of the screw feels very strong and secure. Wood Stone describe the Classic ligature as 'brighter sounding and with less resistance than the Original model'.

We would advise using our 14 day approval system to try ligatures out at home on your own set-up and see how it compares to your normal ligature.
