This American made version of the standard B45 has a similar facing style and design but with subtle differences. Produced from a dense ebonite this can help emit a stronger, fuller sound than standard Vandoren B45.

An ideal low-cost version of the classic B45 design is ideal for advancing players wanting their first quality hard rubber clarinet mouthpiece. This unit comes as mouthpiece only, ligature and cap are sold separately.

My first upgrade to an ebonite mouthpiece, and it has made a big difference. On a cheap, plastic Buffet mouthpiece a Vandoren reed was unplayable, but coupled with this (which is modelled on the Vandoren B45) it makes an excellent sound.
