Designed from thicker cane with a heel taper very similar to German-style reeds, 56 Rue Lepic reeds emit a rich, centered, and extremely pure sound while providing maximum stability and quick response in all registers.
Strength gradations are smaller and more specific, resulting in reeds that are very consistent. The thinner heart and thicker tip suits mouthpieces with an American style facing curve and will give quite an immediate and present tone.
Due to these design features including the thicker tip and thicker spine these 56 reeds tend to suit mouthpieces with an 'American' style facing. So Vandoren M series, M13,M15, M30 - plus the new CL range of mouthpieces from Vandoren and the BD5. Also many smaller American brands like Morgan, Portnoy, Bhen etc and the new Reserve Mouthpieces from D Addario.

I have just progressed from the Vandoren 2.5. Very happy I did,the sound quality is superb. Slight variations in each, but that\'s normal.
Excellent response and flexible in all registers even though softer than my usual strength 3
Love these reeds. Always end up coming back to them after trying other brands.
These are ideal for use with a Vandoren M30 mouthpiece, giving an "American" style sound.
Thes work beautifully with my Vandoren profile 88 M30 mouthpiece. Very flexible sound and easy to get going.
Most consistent reeds I've tried so far!
The 56 Rue Lepic works well for me with the Black Diamond mouthpiece and I get a reasonable number of playable reeds out of a box.
Love these reeds. I’ve tried a lot of different types but these are my fave and you seem to get more good ones in the box so although they are more expensive they are worth the money
more reliable than most reeds out the box, enable good dynamic range.
The best reeds for me. . . .
