This is the Uebel Superior A clarinet which is a professional level instrument featuring the classic 'Germanic' tone offered by Uebel since 1936.
Designed with years of history in clarinet manufacturing, the Superior Clarinet in A is made of the highest quality Grenadilla wood and benefits from a unique 'German inspired' bore shape that gives the instrument a solid, rich and flexible tone with superb intonation. Also the original Uebel bell modification which is present on this model improves the response and resonance of the low E.
The Superior has the extra left hand Eb key that is so useful in various passages of modern repertoire, it also comes with super de-luxe LP GoreĀ® pads that are treated to be water resistant and long lasting. The ergonomic design of the keywork means that the instrument feels very easy to navigate, even at high speed.
This Superior A clarinet comes supplied in a deluxe case with a pochette cover, a Vandoren mouthpiece and Vandoren ligature and 2 barrels to assist with tuning in all temperatures and situations.

This is a wonderful professional instrument from a lesser-known maker, having qualities subtly different from those of its main-steam competitors. Perhaps a little on the heavy side, it is nonetheless well-balanced and the finger positioning is excellent, matching the feel of its Bb equivalent extremely well. The inclusion of a quality double case with cover and a host of accessories is a bonus, not always supplied by other manufacturers. Well-worth considering as an alternative to the \"usual suspects\"!
