These ten tuneful duets are written to be played by two saxophones of the same type i.e. two altos or two tenors/sopranos, not one of each. Their simple key signatures and straightforward time signatures should suit early grade players who will find their wide range of contrasting styles, including several swing numbers, attractive.

The author, Alastair Penman, has over 15 years teaching experience at primary, secondary and tertiary level and his compositions appear on the ABRSM and Trinity Saxophone Exam Syllabuses. Alastair is Professor of Saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, saxophone teacher at Junior Guildhall, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
