The Selmer Paris Axos Alto Saxophone forms part of a new affordable range of Selmer Saxophones. Designed for the advancing and upgrading player the Selmer Axos range captures some of the magic of the Selmer sound and feel but at a more approachable price than their top-end professional Signature & Supreme models.
Selmer have developed effective ways of reducing hand involvement and thus costs in this Axos range, making them more financially approachable for players wanting a high level instrument.
We've found this Axos Alto Sax really does have that classic Selmer sound which is rich, full and powerful. The brass used in Selmer Saxes plays a large part in this sound and resonance and they've really encapsulated this in the Axos.
The keywork layout is intuitive and the intonation is secure from top to bottom. This really is an interesting entry to this area of the market as it competes directly with the Yamaha YAS-62 and Yanagisawa AWO1, time will tell how it compares at this popular price point.
We have a variety of testing environments instore for customers to experience and enjoy. Our range of testing rooms are available to pre-book and we can even reserve stock in advance so if you're making a jouney to see us we can be prepared to make it a special experience for you.

Looked exactly what I expected
Perfect for me to carry on playing.
Several instrument tried, within the price range we asked for. These were from different manufacturers and one was vintage. New Selmer sax purchased - very pleased with it. Only problem we found was that we forgot to keep the Reed off the hire instrument, forgot to buy reeds and it took nearly a week for some to be delivered…had to look at the new Sax all that time without being able to play it!
