The Select Jazz Mouthpiece is a vintage-inspired jazz mouthpiece with a classic sound, clear response, and even intonation across the entire range of the saxophone. This is the marble ebonite version which is made up of a different ebonite mix. This results in a slightly different tonal response, player feedback to us has been that the marble gives a slightly softer lush tone.

This mouthpiece features a medium chamber, tip rail and facing length, straight baffle, and some undercutting under the side rails. It is available in four tip openings: D5M, D6M, D7M and D8M.

The Select Jazz Mouthpiece is 100% precision-milled, not molded, from solid rod rubber. This is done using D'Addario's precise computer-controlled mouthpiece-making technology in the United States, with no hand finishing required, hence delivering incredible consistency. This unique mouthpiece-making technique eliminates the need to try various different pieces, as with several of D'Addario's competitors.

The Select Jazz mouthpieces offer a full sound with great projection, and flexibility from the altissimo register down. The mouthpiece is free-blowing, and provides an extremely focused, responsive sound with a good dynamic range.
