Product Information

This tool can be used to help safely straighten bent Alto/Tenor/Baritone Saxophone bodies - once you have determined which way to straighten. Always straighten up the body stack first before dismantling; play between the posts can be extremely helpful as a marker for the alignment of the body and keys.

By inserting the correct plug into the neck receiver collar (or by using the brace provided for a Bari Sax top curve) the tool supports and strengthens this opening. When the desired direction of adjustment is confirmed, allow a controlled fall of the tool under it's own weight (while firmly holding the sax) into a sandbag or onto a bench top. The tool will not allow the tube to distort, and adds an extra bit of weight to persuade the body across in the opposite direction. One or two light bumps are usually enough to achieve this repair quickly and easily.
