The value-priced Star Series is for any player seeking the ultimate in resonance. Its price belies its ability to deliver warmth and expression for even the most discerning jazz or blues player in an intimate acoustic setting.
The Star Series enhances the inherent qualities of the instrument and mouthpiece without "coloring" the tone. It bathes the player in resonance, offering excellent feedback especially to the developing player with an immature embouchure, helping to improve intonation and enhancing the playing experience.

This is the first time I purchased from Dawkes Music & I was very impressed. I really like their website as everything is so well explained & they review their products which is very helpful in deciding what to buy. It arrived promptly, it looked as if care had been taken with the packaging & the ligature itself is good. It is ideal for a beginner, it is free flowing & doesn’t make the tone too dark. I feel that it is a good upgrade to the basic metal ligature that came with the clarinet. It makes the reed extremely easy to adjust as it has only one screw attachment. I’m really pleased with my purchase.
Replacing an older one so I knew what to expect. I was a bit surprised that the ligature was rather squashed, rather than shaped to the mouthpiece. There seemed to be no reason for this (the box was big enough) unless somebody was a bit careless with the packing. I'm only an amateur musician so perhaps this is not too important, but I think a professional would have sent it back.
Really like this ligature, I would definitely recommend giving it a go.
This ligature is not as good as the Rovner light and heavy variants, but not bad for the price.
Did what it said on the box.
Ligature is very good - as expected. But note that it comes WITH a cap.
