The Reserve clarinet mouthpieces have proved to be very popular since their introduction. The dedication to recreating that vintage clarinet mouthpiece tone and feel results in a very playable and rich sounding mouthpiece.

Ideal for upgrading and professional level playing. Unlike other major brands the mouthpiece is precision milled from a solid rod of ebonite which results in a stable rich core sound. D Addario have invested heavily in 3 new CNC machines to make these mouthpieces to the most consistent tolerances available in modern manufacturing.

Well worth serious consideration when upgrading your mouthpiece. Precision milling delivers unparalleled consistency, eliminating the need to try many before purchase. - Crafted from a unique proprietary hard rubber for tonal beauty and evenness.

The closer tip openings (X0, X5, X10) generally require a slightly harder reed set-up than the more open tips (X10, X10E, X15E, X25E). The combination of closer tip opening and harder reed can give a more centred, solid tone. Whereas, the slighlty more open tip and softer reed can offer a broader tonal range with a differing resistance feel

Great mouthpiece, I still use my vandoren cl4 but this mouthpiece is great nonetheless.

I went in to try mouthpieces last week, and with a lot of help from Anton chose this Rico X10. As soon I as blew this mouthpiece I knew it was just what I was looking for. It creates a nice wide, open sound and tunes well throughout the instrument. On my instrument it doesn\'t make a \'fuzzy\' sound on low F and F# that a few other mouthpieces did.
