The classic Otto Link 'Tone Edge' ebonite model for Tenor Sax has been a favourite of many players for decades. Designed and produced in the USA at the JJ.Babbitt company, the 'Tone Edge' offers players a rich, classic Tenor Sax sound.
The ebonite compound, large chamber, long facing and gentle baffle design results in a mouthpiece with lots of darkness and density in the sound. Ideal for smaller group ensembles and jazz playing, the Otto Link 'Tone Edge' is still one of the most popular for Tenor Sax.
There is also an Otto Link 'Vintage' model in production which offers a more vibrant and powerful tone, possibly with the loss of some of the subtlety of the 'Tone Edge'. Where possible we advise players trying them back-to-back to see which best suits them. We offer 14 day approval on mouthpieces to allow this home-testing period.

I tried the Otto Link ebonite Tenor mouthpiece in a 5 and was very impressed. It was easy to blow and felt comfortable in the mouth and was very like my usual mouthpiece. I would definitely recommend it.
The best mouthpiece I have ever had
Arrive in good time great condition
Exactly what I wanted Will recommend.
Great product, easy to use
I purchased without trying the mouthpiece first, as I\'m not exactly local to Dawkes, and as a beginner on tenor didn\'t feel I\'d gain much spending £20 on petrol. Very happy with the sound it makes on my YTS-475.
Easy to play. Improved my sound.
This is now my ‘go to’ mouthpiece. It gives my sound that gentle raspy edge. It is very easy to play and fits my mouth shape which allows me to relax and concentrate on the music.
Exactly what I wanted and I felt a good price.
It played well on my saxophone
