Product Information

Legere reeds are made from a special polymer compound with a very fine microtexture. They have low density, so that they float, just like cane reeds. This hi-tech material is designed to mimic the properties of damp cane as closely as possible.

The Legere Studio Cut Tenor Sax reeds are designed to be free blowing with a bright, flexible and more responsive tone to the standard cut which are darker sounding. With good care the Legere reeds can last many weeks.

I have been playing 2 hard and 3 cane reeds, this 2.5 Legere is firmer then they, maybe a 2 would have been better, but it is a way to firm up your "embouchure"

I like the feel of these reeds cause they are smooth but they only go up to 3.
