Legere reeds are made from a special polymer compound with a very fine microtexture. They have low density, so that they float, just like cane reeds. This is the Signature Series model for Clarinet which is very popular amongst the Legere range.
The Signature Cut Legere has a thinner tip than the Classic model with a view to being more flexible and agile in articulation. It is a thinner overall profile so take care to ensure your ligature securely holds the reed down. In terms of strength the 2.5 and 3 are similar to a Vandoren V12 in the equivalent strengths (ie Softer than a blue box Vandoren). The 2.75 is between a blue box Vandoren 2.5 and 3 - a comonly requested strength.
This hi-tech material is designed to mimic the properties of damp cane as closely as possible. The lifespan of these synthetic style reeds can be reportedly months and make a great, consistent sound.

So easy to play. No more time wasted with adjustments not a lottery to see if each reed suits me
all good as usual I only ever use these reeds
Perfect for my needs- I have ordered a spare!
I didn't get on with Legere clarinet reeds years ago. I thought they might have improved. Unfortunately not for me! I don't know what to do with it now!
Great synthetic reeds the signature is more responsive and great for performance
You definitely get what you pay for and immediately can see why Légère has dominated the synthetic reed market. Beautiful rich, warm, darker sound which is exactly what I was hoping for. Lovely tone in all registers and you don't have to think about will the note speak, or will the reed dry out, you can focus on playing instead.
The hardness rating was accurate and the reed performed well, as expected.
I’ve tried a few strengths out and I’m really not getting on with this reed. It’s really hard to get a sound. The actual product looks great and was packaged well, but maybe they are not for me.

I found it difficult to play at first, but now I\'m getting in to it I\'m really enjoying the improved tone.
I\'m playing a Yamaha YCL 450, with a Van Doren V5R Lyre mouthpiece. It\'s much easier to play than the 4C that came with the instrument.
I really like this reed. It\'s the right strength for me (I was using Rico Royal 2.5) and I like the clear tone it gives. It\'s much more simple to have a synthetic reed that doesn\'t react to humidity or become waterlogged.
