Product Information

Legendary mouthpiece maker Scott Laskey designed and manufactured his range of mouthpieces until his passing in 2018. Backun Musical Instruments acquired the Laskey company in 2019, and with all of Scott’s original designs and plenty of reverse engineering from mouthpieces loaned back by musicians. Taking advantage of Backun’s precision manufacturing CNC machines, these new trombone mouthpieces are now available.

The Laskey E series euphonium mouthpieces are designed to make playing effortless, the deep E cup provides a colourful, warm sound. The iconic Laskey rim provides clarity of articulation and a core to the sound that is frequently lost with deeper cup mouthpieces. The E cup is deeper than the trombone D cup and can take a huge quantity of air when needed.
