Similar to the Rico cut, La Voz reeds are unfiled and feature a thinner profile and blank.
The La Voz strength range offers greater flexibility, and their deep, powerful tone makes them a standard among jazz musicians. They suit the American style mouthpiece curve which often flattens towards the tip. The La Voz work nicely on many classic mouthpieces like Otto Link.
Rico's updated reed-making machinery and state-of-the-art process have made today's La Voz reed more consistent than ever before.

I have tried so many different brands and their respective strengths and have found these to be the best for me.
American reeds all the way for me, never liked the French ones. La Voz give me the sound, projection and versatility I want.

I have been using these reeds (medium strength) for quite a few years and have been mostly very happy with their performance. My only concern is that the consistency within a box of ten is often disappointing, hence only 4 stars. That said, they last reasonably well, articulate nicely, and produce a warm, rounded sound - great for jazz.
