Product Information

The King 2BL trombone is built with a classic jazz trombone style in mind.  Preferred by legendary jazz trombone artist Jiggs Whigham, it features a yellow brass bell which creates a quick response and subtle brilliance.  

A sleek hard shell case protects the trombone when not in use.  These king small bore straight trombones have set the standard in jazz performance for generations.

I purchased this trombone on the 25th April last year. On delivery it was damaged the bell being dented and scratched. I returned the instrument and was told that it had been repaired as far as possible and the slide realigned. I pointed out that this was a brand new instrument and should not have been damaged. Dawkes ordered a replacement which has just arrived and is perfectly acceptable. The former trombone showed evidence of being a rogue instrument in that apart from the two points I have made the lacquer was beginning to come off around the bell. The service I had from Dawkes was very good and I could not complain about their helpfulness but the instrument should never have been allowed out of the factory in my opinion.
