The new student level Jupiter clarinet, the JCL-700S-Q is a strong contender in the student level market and builds on the past history of good beginner clarinets by Jupiter.
All the tone holes are aligned and the clarinet's light response facilitates the switch from the recorder to the clarinet. This robust, good sounding instrument is real value for money.
The JCL-700S-Qs sturdy ABS body makes it ideal for school use and even the ideal second instrument for outside use for more experienced players. The JCL-700S-Q comes with a high-quality, lightweight Jupiter case with a storage compartment at the front and reflective strips.

Oh wow thank you to dear Matt at Dawkes for all his wonderful support and help in my testing out the right student clarinet for me last Friday!! I had the absolutely best time last Friday, 2nd August, and I’m absolutely delighted with my brand new Jupiter 700 SQ which is exactly what I wanted in an upgrade!! I would most definitely recommend this clarinet to anyone. It truly is the most amazing instrument with the perfect sound, so warm and mellow and so much better for my tiny hands!! I can now cross the break!!
As a complete beginner, being able to try in person the 3 models I’d shortlisted was invaluable, as it was immediately apparent that of the 3, the Jupiter suited me best in every aspect (ease of playing, sound - so rich!, finger position). I have my first lesson soon and am so excited!
