The Jupiter JCL1100S is an upgrade model wooden Bb Clarinet aimed at advancing players. Jupiter have made high-quality beginner and intermediate instruments for many decades. This latest model features all the specifications you would need on an advanced intermediate model to play to a semi-pro standard.
The JCL1100S is made of premium Grenadilla wood which offers a rich, warm tone across the whole range. This instrument also features the extra left hand Eb key as standard. There is also a raised C/G tone hole on the left hand which Jupiter do really well. This helps the ring finger on the left hand sit at a more comfortable and even position and it feels very natural with the raised tone hole.
To finish the keywork spec this JCL1100S has an offset register key (see alternate picture). This slightly offset position has been favoured by a few manufacturers recently who find it is more ergonomically beneficial than a straight-up design. All the keywork is finished in a durable and bright silver plating. In summary this is an excellent new addition to the upgrade Clarinet market and it has great spec and an interesting rich tone.

Firstly, what a fantastic place Dawkes is. I needed to return a beautiful Backun which was a little advanced for me. They helped me choose another more suitable clarinet by giving me a soundproofed room and clarinets to try. I chose the Jupiter for its beautiful sound and ease of *********. I’m so happy with the clarinet and really rate the Dawkes experience.
