The Gonzalez FOF have proved popular with professional and advanced players. With an American cut they have a thickish tip and actually a thick heart as well. Because of this design they give a strong, rich, dark sound but can come up feeling harder than you may be used to. Please see the strength chart in the alternative images for help with choosing.
The American cut is more suited to mouthpieces with a straight flat finish on the lay. For example the Vandoren M30, BD5, Rico Reserve X5 etc. For those experimenting the Vandoren equivalent to FOF = Rue L’Epic/V21
American cut suits mouthpieces with American facing curve
Thicker tip and thick heart
Rich, dark sound
Half a strength harder than Vandoren Rue Lepic and Blue Box
Supplied in pack of 10

Anonymous review via Feefo - 2023-11-22
Haven't tried them all yet. A couple were a bit hard and fuzzy but another couple were good and clear.

I use these clarinet reeds on a Backun Vocalise mouthpiece and like the way they perform.

I find these reeds suit my Vocalise mouthpiece.

I like this brand which seems to suit my Backun Vocalise G mouthpiece. Some of the reeds were too soft so I think I will go back to 2.5 next time (although when I bought 2.5 previously some were too hard... I feel like Goldilocks.)

Excellent quality reeds recommended by clarinet teacher, fantastic sound and well worth the extra.

I haven't used the product long enough to make a comment

So far, the reeds seem very consistent but we haven't had them long enough (6 days) to thoroughly test them.
