The 3003 Genesis is built around a solid design that produces a very powerful, round tone. Heavy bracing, an ovate tuning slide crook, a .462" valve set, and a large throat bell all combine to make it perform evenly and responsively throughout the entire register while maintaining a free and open feel.
In addition to those great features, the Genesis includes an Interchangeable Leadpipe System (ILS). The ILS allows players the ability to switch between a Standard or Open leadpipe depending on their specific needs — in essence, giving players the ability to have two trumpets in one. All combined, these great features make the 3003 one of the most versatile trumpets available. Supplied in hard case with mouthpiece, and lifetime warranty on the valves which are arguably the best in the world.

Getzen 3003S Genesis Custom - Bb Trumpet Reviews
When i first saw this trumpet my first thought was "wow". It certainly catches the eye. The Genesis has extremely fluent valves and a magnificent tone. The staff at Dawkes are very helpful and kind. I went down to Dawkes and tried out about 5 different trumpets all of which were pro trumpets. I found that the Bach 43 also had fluent valves but found that the Yamaha Xeno had a better tone than the Bach I also tried the Getzen 3050 and found that the valves were also very good and the sound and tone was also good, but the Getzen Genesis came above all with stunning valves and a beautiful tone. When choosing a trumpet the looks of it comes last but I still thought what a stunning design . Im in 6 bands/orchestras and love jazz and the Genesis is great for jazz as reaching the high notes is very comfortable for me. To be able to change the lead pipe is also a good feature as you are effectively getting two trumpets in one. The case is another wow factor of the Getzen genesis as I can currently fit 3 mutes and a trumpet stand in there and it has a a Velcro folder which I am currently using for the "trumpeters Bible" which is quite a hefty book.
