This gorgeous 3003 custom Genesis trumpet from Getzen has been re-finished with a unique scratched lacquered bell. In combination with the traditional gold lacquer on the inside of the bell, the valve block and leadpipe, this is a true one of a kind instrument. The instrument is produced by a small team of the most highly skilled artisans in the Getzen Wisconsin pro-workshop.

The 3003 model features heavyweight plates inside the crook of the bell and tuning slide, and unique heavy weight braces on the leadpipe. It produces a rich, powerful sound from top to bottom with the large bore, large throated hand hammered yellow brass bell with a 5 inch flare. These features combine in a full-sounding trumpet with incredible projection and responsiveness.

In addition, the 3003 Genesis features two interchangeable leadpipes. Each of these has a different taper inside which offer a different level of resistance and feedback to the player. The S model features the ‘Standard’ taper whilst the O model has a more open design. This trumpet is in as-new condition, with the custom finish having been done, along with a complete relacquer very recently before the sale. As with all of our secondhand instruments, this trumpet has been checked and serviced by our workshop and is professionally set up before sale.
