This is a beautiful pre-owned Getzen 3003 Custom Genesis in gold plate. These models are as gorgeous as they are rare. We simply don't see them very often because Getzen produce them in very small numbers as their flagship model Trumpet. The instrument is produced by a small team of the most highly skilled artisans in the Getzen Wisconsin pro-workshop. The addition of the gold plating adds a really unique richness, resonance and beauty to the core sound compared to a lacquered or silver plated model.

The 3003 Genesis is designed to be a heavyweight instrument that produces a very powerful, rich and solid tone from top to bottom. It features a heavy bracing system, an ovate tuning slide, a .462" large bore and a large throat bell design. The bell is a one-piece hand hammered yellow brass bell, with a flare of 5-1/8 inches. All of these features add up to give a full sounding instrument with amazing projection and response.

In addition, the 3003 Genesis features two interchangeable leadpipes. Each of these has a different taper inside which offer a different level of resistance and feedback to the player. The S model features the ‘Standard’ taper whilst the O model has a more open design. This particular instrument is in nice clean condition with some signs of wear to the Gold Plating, especially around the 3rd slide where the players’ hand rests.
