Product Information
One of only a few Fox professional model Oboes, the 400 is a grenadilla wood version of a traditional “Gillet” or Conservatoire system. This model also features an added thumb plate in addition to its full conservatory keywork, so would be classed as a Dual System oboe, suitable for UK trained oboists.
The Fox has a beautiful, full, sweet sound with excellent flexibility and playability across its full range. Fox’s bore and tone hole design contribute to its stability and accurate intonation. Additional features of this oboe include: metal lined tenons and sockets, third octave key, split ring Eb/B trill key, D trill key, left hand F key, alt. C (Banana) key and many more.
Supplied in its original french style hard case, this would make for a terrific high level upgrade for the player looking for an instrument to take them to grade 8 and beyond. The instrument has been checked over in our workshop, and we are pleased to offer our 6 month secondhand warranty on this instrument.
