Product Information

The N79 set is designed to punch larger holes in standard flute pads for use on open hole French type flutes, so that Repairmen need not carry two complete flute pad stocks. A set includes a punch and two brass centering dies to hold the pads. Since each centering die has a different pad size on each end, there is a total four pad sizes available in the set they are; 17.5, 18, 18.5 and 19mm pads.
The punch will automatically center itself and punch a neat hole when hit with a rawhide mallet. Be sure to use a P28 Cutting Pad or an L24 Lead Block to protect the cutting edge of the punch.
The special N79Y optional punch, is used to enlarge the hole in some flute pads having too small a hole to fit in Yamaha flutes with their raised flange spuds.
