The Drake ceramic chamber Soprano saxophone mouthpieces are unique in their design and tone. Created by expert technician and saxophonist Aaron Drake, the ceramic series offers players an exceptional tonal range and resonance.

Why a ceramic chamber?

Inspired by years of studying vintage Soprano sax mouthpieces, Drake created this ceramic chamber design. The ceramic chamber contributes a new tonal colour and colour to the sound due to its unique properties and density. The exposed ceramic on the interior of the mouthpiece helps produce a strong core tone colour with a deep richness.

Attributes of this Mouthpiece

This Soprano model features a short rollover baffle with a lower floor slope design. These elements combined with a medium/small chamber create a powerful, round tone with balanced overtones. Hugely versatile and at home in all genres from jazz quartets to funk, pop and commercial. Each model is handmade by Aaron Drake.
