This Conn BS650 Baritone Sax is a really good affordable Baritone Sax from a well regarded manufacturer with years of history. If you're looking for your first Baritone and want something fun to play but of a high quality build then this could be for you. Fundamentally it's just a really solid, affordable instrument.

There are a lot of cheap and not cheerful(!) Baritones out there from a raft of un-named Chinese factories. We've heard and seen issues with keywork literally capitulating under players fingers on these more affordable models. This is not something you'd need to worry about with this Conn Baritone Sax which is made by a company with over 100 years of manufacturing legacy.

The sound is solid, the tuning is good across the whole range, the keywork is strong and it comes complete with a strong and supportive case with wheels. The mouthpiece supplied is a basic model and we would encourage players to upgrade to a higher quality ebonite model. With this simple upgrade, you'll have a fun low A Baritone which (a) is properly made and (b) will be worth something in the future should you wish to sell it on, or indeed sell it back to us at Dawkes.
