This is a fully re-padded Buffet E13 wooden 'A' clarinet supplied with an original Buffet case. The instrument, like many A's, has seen fairly little use and this one is in nice clean order. The wooden body condition is excellent, as is the silver plated keywork.

The instrument has been well maintained through its life, as mentioned above the A only gets a certain amount of use, depending on the owner of course, so we tend to find that A's age much better than Bb's. This particular model has a smooth, rich tone and is nicely blown in and free to play. We have just serviced this instrument as part of the pre-sale check-up and as such it plays beautifully.

The Buffet E13 model (both the Bb and the A) have been the choice of upgrading players around the world for well over 30 years. Over that time period they have cemented their position as the top selling mid-range clarinets of all time, and it is easy to see why. Excellent playability, a nice blend of light and shade in the tone, plenty of projection and solid intonation.
