This is the new Backun Signature Series ‘Corrado’ Clarinet mouthpiece. This mouthpiece, developed alongside leading Clarinettist Corrado Giufreddi, has been designed by master-craftsman Richard Hawkins on behalf of Backun. The result is a mouthpiece with a full, rich and broad tone throughout the range.

This new Signature Series from Backun has expanded to six models, this Corrado and others inspired by some of the best players in the business. Both feature new internal and external designs compared to the Vocalise range. They also come with rubber o-rings in place of traditional cork (3 different sizes supplied in the outfit). The Corrado mouthpiece features a more traditional interior bore with a more open tip and a longer facing. It offers a very flexible tone with great smoothness across the registers.

This Corrado mouthpiece is produced in a marbled green hard rod rubber (ebonite). The manufacturing tolerances are exceptional and offer the leading quality of any clarinet mouthpiece in production. This ensures each Corrado clarinet mouthpiece offers exactly the same response and tone. This model would suit players who prefer a wider tip and longer facing, perhaps those who have been using Vandoren B40, B40 Lyre, B45, B45 Lyre, BD7, or D'Addario Reserve X15E, X25E models.
