This is the new Bach Stradivarius New York #7 Trumpet, the latest addition to their professional Trumpet range. Part of the Bach 180 series, this New York #7 model brings back the lightweight #7 one-piece hand-hammered professional bell. The bell also features a classic French-bead flat rim that was originally popular during the 1930s but has come back into fashion in recent years.
This model also features a 1930's style receiver and a large .462" bore. The #7 New York Trumpet also has a slightly oversized first slide ring and a fixed third slide ring which does have the slide stopper underneath the tuning slide.
In terms of how it plays, the lightweight body and lightweight one-piece hand-hammered #7 bell offers a lively and very responsive performance across the whole range. There is a great balance of resistance and projection and the Monel valves are slick and rapid. In summary, a fantastic new addition to the Bach pro Trumpet range featuring some classic design features from years gone by.
