Product Information

The Aizen LS Tenor Sax mouthpieces offers a dark and warm sound, great for Jazz and Big Band playing. Based on the classic Slant Signature Link models this Aizen LS Tenor mouthpiece has all the immediacy and ease of a perfectly balanced mouthpiece with a rich and fat bottom end and a consistent tone all the way through the dynamic range.

This model has a large chamber (not as large as on the Zero model) and a longish facing. As such it is easy to play generally and can take slightly harder reeds than the SO model for example. Popular models tend to be the 7, 7* and 8 for more experienced players. If you're making your first upgrade from a student model then we'd suggest the 6* which would be a nice upgrade that is easily controllable with a rich centre.

I play an Aizen 8 tenor sax mouthpiece and I tried the 8* and found it more resistant and lacking the warmth of tone the 8 gives me.
