Learn To Play Day – 2014

It’s that time of year again. Every April we throw open the doors and offer FREE Woodwind lessons to anyone who wants them!! We also have live music in the shop to get you inspired to pick up an instrument and blow!

Ever fancied playing the Sax? What about the clarinet or flute? Come and try a Woodwind instrument with your friends, family, colleagues etc…Our helpful and highly trained staff and teachers will give you a fun, free and inspiring first lesson on your instrument of choice.

Why not come down with the family and listen to the live Music, we have an 18 piece Big Band playing live IN THE SHOP! It’s quite a spectacle and it’s the perfect way to listen to all the Woodwind & Brass instruments and enjoy some free live music, it will really get your foot tapping.

Learn To Play Day – Saturday 12th April 2014 SCHEDULE:

10.30am: 20 minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax

11.00am: 20 minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax

11.30am: 20 minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax

Midday:   2o minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax

12.40pm: LIVE MUSIC – Our ‘My Music’ Adult beginner group play a few pieces. The band consists of players who took up an instrument after attending Learn to Play Day 2012/2013

1.00pm:    LIVE MUSIC – We welcome back Blakes Heaven Big Band for a 50 minute set of very funky Big Band music feat top UK drummer Pete Cater!!

2.00pm:  20 minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax

3.00pm:  20 minute taster lessons; Flute/Clarinet/Sax
