Dawkes Music are delighted to be the UK's sole distributor of MusicMedic pads and tools. The MusicMedic range covers everything a working repair technician could need, from high quality pads to all manner of bench tools, lubriants and accessories.
The MusicMedic range of products are developed in the USA and are the result of years of experience in the Wind & Brass repairing business. We've been very impressed with the quality and usability of the MusicMedic equipment and have chosen to stock a wide range of their tools and materials to make it easier for our customers in the UK and further afield to access.
Saxophone Pads
In 2001, MusicMedic set out to create the best professional grade saxophone pads in the world and RooPads™ were born. Kangaroo leather is one of the strongest light weight leathers available, which contains highly uniform fibers and elastin's throughout the skin thickness. This structural uniformity explains the greater tensile strength of the leather, resulting in amazing abrasion and tear resistance.

The RooPads™ offer an exceptional feel, response and durability and are available in 7mm-70mm sizes in half mm increments. Standard thickness of 4.1mm-4.2mm (0.161" - 0.165") Pads sized 7mm through 15.5mm do not include holes or resonators unless requested. Why are RooPads TM better?

MusicMedic Pad Cup and Tone Hole Pliers
The simple but effective pliers make quick work of repairing or rounding off tone holes and pad cups. The unique angle on the front of the pliers allows you to get into tight spaces when a pad cup or small tone hole rim is bent down.
The flat and round jaws of the pliers are buffed smooth to work without marking the pad cup or tone hole of any brass bodied instrument.
MusicMedic Spring Removing Pliers
Woodwind springs that are broken flush inside a post can be difficult to remove and can cause damage to the post.
With these spring removing pliers, pressure is placed on both sides of the post to reduce the possibility of accidentally moving the post while removing the spring. One jaw is rounded to fit the post while the other jaw has a pointed screw to press the spring through the post.
MusicMedic Open Hole Flute Pad Punch
Easily turn regular flute pads into Open Hole Flute Pads with the MusicMedic Open Hole Flute Pad Punch set.
Includes 4 stainless steel bottom dies in 17 mm, 17.5 mm, 18 mm, and 18.5 mm diameter sizes. The set comes in a neatly organised box for easy storage. The Open Hole Flute Pad Punch makes a 9.4 mm diameter hole.

It tackles two common problems that occur during the padding process: bushings (or grommets) getting spread too wide, and pad cup chimneys getting crushed in. A neat tool for any Flute repairer technician to have on their bench.
