Conn’s Artist 8H Trombone is the standard bearer of professional large bore tenor trombones, equally suited to the Symphony Orchestra, Brass Band or Wind Orchestra, these trombones are known for their rich, warm tone and for their incredible dynamic range, with a full, rounded sound even at Fortissimo.
The Conn 8H is a straight Bb tenor trombone with a .547” bore, 8 1/2” rose brass bell which adds warmth and depth to the sound. The outer slide legs are made from this same rose brass, giving the added bonus of the slide being very light and nimble.
This particular instrument has been well cared for any only shows light general signs of aesthetic wear. There is evidence on the main tuning slide of a dent being removed, but this should have no effect on the way the trombone plays. The slide is fluid and positive in response and we have converted it from sprung slide stops to the more modern convention of felt which gives a nicer overall feeling to the instrument.
