Nice mechanical condition pre-owned Selmer Reference 54 Tenor which has been well loved and well played in its time. All pads and mechanics are in excellent order. The lacquer finish on the body, bell and some keywork is worn through, leaving the instrument more like an unlacquered finish in some places.

The Reference kick-started Selmer's modern revival. Although it was theoretically based on the old Mark VI model, the Reference has its own character and arguably performs a more versatile role than its vintage ancestor. We love the look and tone of these gorgeous gold lacquer models, and this example is no exception.

In summary, a cracking professional Tenor that is at home in all manner of musical scenarios. It also has the added advantage of being far more reliable than a vintage horn, and with much steadier tuning!
